The annual ‘April Seminar’ of the CFP held in Moscow
The 9th April Seminar of the CFP held on April 22 – 25 in Moscow was devoted to a review of regional experiences in implementing of innovative techniques in budget process. This included such areas as intergovernmental fiscal relations, delivering of public services on regional and local levels and incorporation of regional development strategies into long- and mid-term financial plans. The CFP experts presented general reviews on those issues and moderated round-table discussions at the seminar. The CFP also invited top officials from the Ministry of Finance of RF and Ministry of Regional Development of RF to speak at the seminar and – more importantly – to answer the attendees’ questions. For the 8-year time period the April Seminar has become one of the few places where federal and regional financiers meet each other. The 9th April Seminar was attended by 96 people from 42 regions of Russia.
