On February 29, 2012, CFP experts held a video conference with the Finance Ministry of Karachai-Circassian Republic

Under the Strengthening Local Governance in the North Caucasus Project, CFP experts reviewed KCR’s regulations developed to implement Federal Law #83-FZ of May 8, 2010 as well as current intergovernmental regulation formulas. During the video conference CFP experts discussed their recommendations on those issues with leaders and specialists of the KCR Finance Ministry.

Also, public finance management in general in the Republic was discussed including the following issues: increase of the share of expenditures of the regional budget on regional (long-term) and departmental target programs, introduction of public hearings procedure for draft budget laws and budget execution laws, greater publicity and transparency of the website of the KCR Finance Ministry as well as its accessibility for information exchange with the population.
